That’s why aunt Josée I am your author
Some place and some where all over there
I have you my aunt and godmother
And it seems so long and so far away
For the family and for each other
You in Canada me in Belgium here
But sometimes a bit heavenly fodder
Can bring sadness into a happy day
As if, we where both sister and brother
That’s why I am now sitting in my chair
By that candlelight who may not smother
Before I wrote you a poem clear and fair
As a souvenir to my child-mother
Me once that little child now the old bear
In fantasy still a globe-trotter
But also a father who wants take care
That’s why aunt Josée I am your author
