King of pain
is it my destiny
to be the king of pain
not too blind to see
a way to end this reign
the earth is crying
and so am I
don't blame me for trying
not an eye for an eye
love and peace must be
is this to much to ask
it is not, to me
not afraid of a task
politics are failing
there is a lack of wisdom
ethics are trailing
but not in my kingdom
listening to the mind
is what most men do
but it's the hart that is kind
and thoughts are like voodoo
however
there is no magic in thinking
there is in what I feel
love is the thing
to that I appeal
never mind my philosophy
I won't be the king
I had to let it out you see
for my hart is aching (a-king)
